The Burnaby Pylons started out in the year 2000. The hockey team was started by a bunch of guys
from White Paper and Dominos ( with a few friends thrown in ). We have had 10 Pylon teams over the years. Some players have
come and gone. But I'm proud to say that over 80% of my team are returning players that enjoy playing on this team with a
great bunch of guys. We have had some players leave but they seem to come back which shows a great team atmosphere and fun
we have. Or others that play for other teams now they always ask if they can be called to spare sometimes. We have many players
on our team with a wide range of skill level. I think with this we have done well and everyone seems to enjoy learning and
helping each other on the ice.
Since the beginning of this team we have gone to the Championships 6 times. We always seem to
finish around the middle of the pack then turn it on in the playoffs. With great team play ( playing as a team and not individuals
) and Chuck (goalie) who always seems to have an ok season, but seems to play great in the playoffs. With this we have won
3 Championships to our name. The only thing I think that could top this would be one day winning the "CANLAN CUP" in
our Division group.

A good player becomes a great player by helping other players!
An inexperienced player becomes a great player by giving his 100% !
